Luisa Casati (1881-1957) was the ultimate female dandy. She lived at the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni on Venice’s Grand Canal between 1910-19, an arrangement which eventually lead to a fruitful client relationship with Fortuny, who had already established his presence in the city by this time. Picture - Luisa Casati with Paul-Cesar Helleu and Giovanni Boldini in a garden at Palazzo Venier dei Leoni (1913).
